Maryland APEX Accelerator Client Showcases Drone Technology to Legislators
Annapolis, MD - February 22, 2024 - Martin Cadirola, President of Ecotronics Ventures LLC, a client of the Maryland APEX Accelerator, had the opportunity to present his cutting-edge drone technology to Maryland Legislators at the annual SBDC Legislative Showcase held in Annapolis, MD last week.
Maryland APEX Accelerator Hosts Successful Matchmaking Event for Clients in La Plata, MD
The Maryland APEX Accelerator hosted a business matchmaking event on October 5, 2023, at the College of Southern Maryland for over 40 small businesses and government contractors. The event was a huge success in which business owners had one on one meetings with primes, and state and local agencies. APEX Accelerator clients also got to learn how federal purchasing power is being directed to help underserved small businesses and remove barriers from Federal, State, and Local government programs.
APEX Accelerators Hosts First National APEX Day on Oct. 12, 2023
APEX Accelerators will host National APEX Day on October 12, 2023, in U.S. cities nationwide. The event will celebrate the success of the tens of thousands of small businesses that have leveraged APEX Accelerators' training and technical assistance to successfully compete for and win federal, state, and local government contracts. This is the first national event for APEX Accelerators since its rebranding last year.
Agencies Partner to Aid Small Businesses
On Friday, December 2, 2022, the Defense Department and the U.S. Small Business Administration signed a memorandum of understanding to help both agencies better meet the needs of small businesses in the United States.
HUBZone Connections 2019
Over 300 small business owners, agencies, and prime contractors participated in the Maryland APEX Accelerator HUBZone Connections event on May 2, 2019, at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center in College Park, MD.
MDAPEX at UMD Receives Funding for SBA HUBZone Training Initiative
The Maryland APEX Accelerator at the University of Maryland has received $66,000 from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to expand its outreach efforts in Maryland's HUBZones. Learn more HERE
