ABOUT

The Maryland APEX Accelerator (formerly MD PTAC) opened its doors in 2002 in an effort to assist the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) Procurement Technical Assistance Program in expanding the number of businesses capable of participating in government contracting. The APEX Accelerator Center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense. In 2022, the PTAC was renamed the APEX Accelerator program and moved under the management of the Department of Defense (DOD) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP).  We achieve our mission by:

  • Providing businesses with an understanding of the requirements of government contracting and the market know-how they need to obtain and successfully perform federal, state, and local government contracts.

  • Supporting government agencies in reaching and working with the suppliers they need.
