  • Department of War Suspends CMMC Phase II Requirements

    The Department of War today announces the immediate suspension of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Phase II requirements, which were originally scheduled to come into effect on November 10, 2026.

  • NASA Awards Solutions for Federal Enterprise Procurement Contracts

    NASA will begin processing the awards of multiple contracts for the Solutions for Enterprise‑wide Procurement (SEWP) VI Government-wide Acquisition Contract. The contract provides streamlined access to commercial products and services, including hardware, software, cloud services, cybersecurity tools, engineering and consulting services, and data intensive mission support capabilities.

  • States Sue to Block Agencies from Adding Anti-DEI Clauses to Government Contracts

    On June 10, 2026, nineteen states and the District of Columbia filed suit in the District of Maryland seeking to halt implementation of Executive Order 14398, which was issued on March 26, 2026. The order requires federal agencies to insert a mandatory contract clause into all contracts, subcontracts, and “contract-like instruments” prohibiting contractors from engaging in “racially discriminatory DEI activities.” 

  • Fixing the Federal Acquisition System: Firm-Fixed-Price Contracting the New Norm

    On April 30, 2026, President Trump issued an executive order (EO), Promoting Efficiency, Accountability, and Performance in Federal Contracting, that makes firm-fixed-price contracts the default federal government agencies must use when buying products and services from private sector companies.
