Ameenah Parson: Procurement Specialist

 

Ameenah Parson joined the MD APEX Accelerator team in 2023 and serves as a senior subject matter expert in the federal government contracting and procurement arena. She is an acquisition specialist with experience in the technical writing of key contractual documents that are in compliance with the FAR and DFAR. Morgan State University awarded Ameenah with a Bachelor of Science in International Finance.

Ameenah has dedicated an 18-year federal government career to continue advocating for small businesses of various socio-economic statuses. She has a passion for assisting small business owners in understanding the acquisition process that will lead to the writing and submission of winning proposals.

Some areas of expertise include providing acquisition and contractual guidance in the solicitation process for contract awards. She provides assistance in the following areas:

• Consulting on key documents and processes including the Statement of Work, Acquisition Planning, Market Research, Proposal Preparation Instructions (PPI), and Costing.
   

• Providing risk assessments and strengths, weaknesses opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analyses.
   

• Developing small business strategies to assist in achieving pre-award and post-award milestones.
